Johan Blaus is Senior Advisor Business Liaisons and Director of Strategic Partnerships at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. KTH has 14 strategic partnerships with non-academic organizations across three categories: global companies, public sector organisations and leading research institutes. Johan has worked at KTH since 2011, establishing and developing the strategic partnerships programme. He has served as advisor to the leadership regarding collaboration and societal impact.
In addition, Johan has been involved in development and collaboration projects nationally and internationally. Johan is the coordinator of a national network for leadership persons responsible for collaboration at Swedish HEIs, the KLOSS-network (Knowledge and Learning about Strategic Collaboration). He is also vice chair for ACEEU (The Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities).
Johan brings 10 years’ experience working with business development and change management in large organizations nationally and internationally. In the end of the nineties, he was active in the HEI-sector in the development of strategies connected to the legislation of “the third mission” for universities in Sweden. Before entering the university sector he worked for 10 years in the hotel and restaurant industry as well as in the travel industry, including four years abroad in Spain, Greece, Austria and Turkey.
