Professor Tim Marler
Professor Marler is a senior research engineer at RAND Corporation and a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His work revolves around modelling and simulation with a focus on human modelling and simulation, training simulators and virtual environments, VR/AR, and emerging technology. Professor Marler is particularly interested in developing new capabilities and technologies, ensuring they respond to user needs, and ensuring they transfer to the public effectively. He has recently completed a study on brain-computer interfaces and has helped start RAND’s Biological Technologies’ Emerging Challenges (BioTEC) Group. He leads the VR/AR thrust for Pardee RAND's Tech and Narrative Lab.
He currently serves on the Department of Commerce's Materials and Equipment Technical Advisory Committee within the US Bureau of Industry and Security.
