Now in their 5th year, the UK Parkinson’s Excellence Awards recognise the hard work and resilience of outstanding individuals, teams and services that make a difference to people with Parkinson’s, and the people who love and care for them.

The 2021 awards ceremony was held on 28 October 2021 and can be viewed by registering for free on the Awards website until 28 November.

See all of the abstracts in our awards abstract book (PDF, 189KB) and download posters entered for the Excellence Network Awards. Abstracts are displayed by category, starting with those shortlisted for stage 2, including their e-posters, and followed by the rest of the abstracts for each category.

After receiving 30 award entries and undergoing a 2-stage shortlisting process with our judging panel, we are delighted to announce the Winners and Highly Commended finalists for the 2021 Excellence Network Awards as below.

This year we were also honoured to award the inaugural Excellence Network Legacy Award to Odette Taylor, Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist. Odette, who passed away in March 2021, dedicated her career to supporting people with Parkinson’s in Central Manchester, always putting them at the centre of the care and support she provided. A heartfelt tribute from Odette’s colleagues formed part of the awards ceremony and can be viewed as part of the free-to-access ceremony recording.
